We LOVE our volunteers — and we mean it. The Nature Made Great Race simply doesn’t happen without the incredible crew of ~350 people who show up with big energy to support 5,000 runners, walkers, families, and fans.
As we celebrate the 41st running of the Great Race (April 8–11, 2026), we’re building the best volunteer team yet — and we’d love for you to be part of it.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering isn’t just “helping out.” It’s getting a front-row seat to the excitement, meeting great people, and being part of a feel-good tradition that gives back — benefiting schools in Agoura Hills and Oak Park.
Sign up solo, bring a friend, or rally a group — there’s a role for everyone. Volunteers must be 14+ (or younger with an adult).
Volunteer roles to fit your vibe
Whether you’re outgoing, organized, or just love being where the action is, we’ve got a spot for you:
-
Check-in + packet pickup support
-
Course direction + cheer squads
-
Aid stations
-
Finish line medals + refreshments
-
Festival help + post-race support
Teens: many roles can qualify for community service hours (hello, win-win).
Perks (because you deserve them)
All volunteers receive an official Great Race shirt — a proud, wearable badge of honor for your gym days or “I helped make this awesome day happen” moments. And of course: you’ll feel the race-day buzz up close (it’s contagious).
Join the fun — spots fill fast!
Volunteer roles go quickly every year, so grab yours now and help bring the magic to life.
